A new partnership between global video game commerce firm Xsolla and UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie) aims to support game developers and strengthen the UK’s position as a global leader in the gaming industry.
Xsolla has been named Ukie’s official monetisation partner and exclusive programming sponsor, a collaboration that seeks to provide game developers with the tools and resources needed to maximise commercial success. The announcement comes ahead of the Game Developers Conference 2025 and signals a major investment in the UK gaming sector.
Empowering UK Developers
As part of the partnership, Xsolla and Ukie will roll out a UK-wide series of initiatives designed to equip game developers with the knowledge and support required to enhance monetisation strategies. A key feature of this collaboration is the introduction of bespoke workshops, which will be delivered through Ukie’s Supercharged Sessions programme.
These workshops will take place at two major gaming hubs across the UK, providing developers with tailored guidance on commercialisation, revenue generation, and monetisation techniques.
Beyond these UK-based activations, Xsolla and Ukie will also have a strategic presence at Gamescom 2025, one of the world’s largest gaming events. This will serve as a platform to showcase cutting-edge monetisation solutions, strengthen international partnerships, and promote the UK as a global gaming powerhouse.
A Commitment to Growth and Innovation
Chris Meredith, Senior Vice President of Business Development – EMEA at Xsolla, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative:
“We are thrilled to partner with Ukie, a leading voice in the UK games industry. This collaboration allows us to help UK-based developers unlock new revenue opportunities and streamline the monetisation process. At Xsolla, we’re committed to providing a seamless, scalable experience for developers, and working with Ukie enables us to extend our support to a vibrant community of gaming professionals.”
Nick Poole, CEO of Ukie, highlighted the benefits for game developers, stating:
“As the video game landscape continues to evolve, developers must have access to the best tools to support their financial growth. With Xsolla’s expertise in monetisation and global payment solutions, Ukie members are strongly positioned to thrive in domestic and international markets.”
Berkley Egenes, Chief Marketing & Growth Officer at Xsolla, emphasised the long-term vision of the partnership:
“In 2025, we are looking to partners in the industry to help connect with video game developers of all sizes. By providing distribution, monetisation, and payment solutions, we aim to support developers in creating successful gaming businesses.”
A Stronger Future for UK Game Developers
Through this collaboration, Xsolla and Ukie will continue to introduce custom programming, events, and networking opportunities for game developers. The initiative aims to address the challenges and opportunities in the gaming sector while fostering sustainable growth.
A full schedule of activities will be announced by Xsolla and Ukie in 2025, as both organisations remain committed to stimulating the growth of gaming businesses across the UK and Europe.
