Last weekend, the fitness world was set ablaze as Les Mills and adidas collaborated to present LES MILLS LIVE BERLIN, an exhilarating event that merged fitness with Berlin’s renowned nightclub culture. The festival, which took place on 19-20 October, attracted over 3,000 fitness enthusiasts, transforming the venue into a high-energy ‘fitness rave’ that showcased the future of training.
Attendees were treated to a variety of innovative workouts that seamlessly integrated cutting-edge technology, music, and culture, creating an engaging environment for fitness fans at all levels. The event featured a range of unique training experiences, including an immersive virtual reality workout and the Playground and Recovery Rave, where athletes could unwind and recover through movement while enjoying performances from top music artists.
One of the highlights of the weekend was a special live performance by singer Kaleena Zanders, along with a vibrant Sunday Service-style show featuring Noah Slee and the Berlin-based choir A Song For You, which infused the event with a joyful energy.
In a significant reveal, LES MILLS PILATES was launched, allowing attendees to experience this new program for the first time. The 45-minute class combines captivating choreography, soothing music, and the latest in exercise science to enhance core strength, endurance, mobility, and overall wellness. Research from the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada indicates that participants in LES MILLS PILATES can expect a 61% improvement in abdominal endurance within just eight weeks.
Complementing the extensive offerings from Les Mills, the event showcased high-performance training gear from adidas. Featured prominently was the Dropset 3 footwear, designed for stability during intense workouts such as LES MILLS CEREMONY, incorporating advanced features like TPU sidewalls and geoFit construction. The Optime apparel collection was also on display, highlighting its four-way stretch fabric powered by LYCRA SPORT technology, which provides comfort and a second-skin feel during workouts like LES MILLS PILATES and LES MILLS SHAPES.
The weekend encapsulated the shared ambition of Les Mills and adidas to inspire and empower the fitness community. “Our goal is to make fitness programs more enjoyable and accessible, whether through digital platforms or in-person events,” stated a representative from adidas. “We aim to connect individuals worldwide and emphasise the positive mental and physical impacts of regular training.”
Les Mills workouts are now available in 22,000 gyms globally and through the LES MILLS+ Training App, offering athletes valuable access and rewards, including generous discounts for adiClub members. Additionally, members can earn redeemable adiClub points with each Les Mills workout they complete.
Following the success of LES MILLS LIVE BERLIN, LES MILLS LIVE 2024 world tour is set to continue, with upcoming events planned in Madrid, Athens, and Cyprus, as well as a stop in Riyadh, promising more vibrant fitness experiences in the months ahead.
